Cadinje - Copper Lead Zinc Polymetallic Mine Planning, Development Strategy and Overview
Cadinje deposit located in SW Serbia has two skarn-type ore bodies, one Cu-Au, and one Pb-Zn with combined resources of approximately 4 million tonnes. Deposit discovered in 1960’s and detailed exploration 1980’s. Serbian Reserve report (‘Elaborat’) in process to be rapidly followed by mineralogical characterisation, metallurgical testwork, and underground exploration performed from new underground development. Modern drift will be developed providing access to the ore bodies, which will be designed allowing later use as main haulage, and developed using modern trackless mining equipment. Data generated will be used for an updated resource estimate and detailed feasibility study leading to production from a trackless underground mine. Processing plant site identified which will regenerate an old iron smelter and industrial area.
